UK Lingerie And UK Swimwear Review And Competition Ends 28/04

If you are looking for clothes online, what do you look for in a company? A great range of clothes in all sizes? Quick, reliable and free delivery? Great customer service in the buying process and no quibbles if you have to return any items? Well, let me introduce you to UK Lingerie and UK Swimwear.

Dawn Barber and her husband Jonathan created these companies and the sister company UK Tights, as they realised there was a gap in the market for good clothing companies, that sold a range of sizes and gave excellent customer service. They believe that excellent customer service sets their business apart from the others out there and always put the customer at the centre of their operations. Recently they sent me some products to review and read to the end to find out about a great competition for my readers!

So what are the products like? Firstly let us look at UK Lingerie. UK Lingerie sells quality lingerie, nightwear, bodywear, activewear and shapewear for all shapes and sizes.

The lingerie brands they sell are well known and include Gossard, Curvy Kate, Shock Absorber, Spanx and Charnos.

I chose a bra and pants set to review from Charnos. Charnos is a brand I have grown to love throughout the years.

The Flamenco full cup bra is a pretty bra with a mid blue floral print on a navy background. The material is very soft and silky and the lace adds a beautiful feminine touch. The bra felt very comfortable on and the underwired cups gave good support.

It comes with a matching Flamenco brief in the same gorgeous design, with the all-over floral print, lace and bow detail. Sometimes I feel underwear can be small but I felt this set was true to size. The brief actually seemed to cover my bum and the addition of elastane means they provide good stretch.

I am incredibly pleased with the Flamenco bra and brief set from Charnos. Comfortable pretty underwear that provides decent support, and goes up to bigger sizes, the biggest is a 38 G is hard to come by these days. The bra retails at £30 and the briefs at £14.

The next item I was sent was pyjamas from Blackspade. Blackspade is a luxury clothing brand, that uses fine cotton and modal in their garments. I haven't heard of this brand before so I was looking forward to seeing their pyjamas in real life.

I chose to review the Blackspade Dots Long Pyjama set. A traditionally styled pyjama, with straight legs, in pale pink, with black dots, I chose it for the super soft micro modal material. Micro modal is a very soft material that feels great next to the skin, making these pyjamas a joy to wear.

I did think the pyjamas were slightly pinker online than they looked when they arrived however they are lovely to wear. The black dots and black piping was a great design touch too, and the stretchy material has a little elastane too.

Cool, classic luxurious pyjamas that are super comfy. Priced at £67 they are a little investment and I feel they would wash well too.

The last item I was sent was a swimming costume from Speedo. Speedo is a well-known sports brand that produces hard-working swimwear for those serious about swimming.

The Speedo Sculpture Shinedream Placement swimsuit is described as a flattering swimsuit that gives the illusion that the waist it slimmer due to the patterning on the side. Also, the V at the top draws the eye down the middle of the suit adding to the effect.

The swimsuit is available in black and pink and also in black and blue. The pink is a bright pink which I love. The swimsuit is true to size although I felt it was a little tight around the top of my legs, and I don't generally have a problem with this.

It felt like it held me in a little especially around the tummy and the bust support was good, this they describe as the 'speedosculpure' effect. It is a swimsuit that will stay put when doing some serious swimming but equally it looks nice on. Did it make some stomach look any slimmer you may ask? Well, I did feel it had an effect, it's not going to take a dress size off but it does hold your stomach in, so that's a definite plus point for me! Another plus point is the chlorine resistant fabric which is great if you visit swimming pools.
