Lands End Cashmere Cardigan Review

It's that time of year when it's getting cold and everyone wants some cosy nightwear, so when Lands' End contacted me to review their cashmere knitwear I was definitely interested! Lands End is a company I have worked with before and in the past, I have been impressed with their well-made classic clothes with timeless quality.

Since its inception in 1963 in Chicago originally selling yachting equipment, Lands' End diversified and changed its products from sailing equipment to clothing and moved to Dodegville Winsconsin in the 1980's where they have stayed since. Now they are a worldwide company with a mission to help create a more sustainable future, to be an inclusive and diverse company and to support charities and organisations. Their missions are on their website and I think it's fabulous knowing the ethos of the company and what it stands for. It makes me want to support them even more.

So, onto the clothes. With a range of clothes for both men. women and kids and accessories too, you will be spoilt for choice with their clothes.

Firstly I chose the black cashmere cardigan. This cardigan is such a classic that it will never go out of date.

With a crew neck and buttons all the way down the front, It's a classic style that will go with everything. Made from pure Mongolian cashmere it has a ribbed hem and cuffs too.

The best thing about this cardigan though is the warmth, softness and cosiness of the material. Mongolian cashmere is made from goats in Mongolia. In the spring the herders comb their wool and then this is harvested for use. It is said that the cashmere from Mongolian is the best in the world and it shows in the material which is super warm and cosy.

The pink cashmere cardigan I chose was the same design but in a hot pink. I was immediately drawn to the gorgeous colour and had to have it! The cardigan again is super soft and warm.

It has the same ribbed cuffs and crew next with buttons down the front. I would say that size-wise, these are generous in size, so maybe go a size down from what you normally wear unless you want a looser fit like me.

The cashmere cardigans should be dry-cleaned or hand-washed to keep their good looks. These cardigans start at £80 which is a fair price for the quality of the cashmere. They also come in regular, petite and plus sizes which is fabulous for such as wardrobe staple.

As you can see Lands' End has lovely knitwear and does a range of sizes in coats and lots of different styles for women and men.  If you are looking for cardigans and jumpers I recommend that you check their website out.
