Win Nelson's Skin Care Products For Valentine's Day - ends 07/02

We all lead stressful lives, juggling families, work, hectic social lives. Whether you just want to relax or ease away aches and pains, Nelson's bath and massage balm can help. Enriched with natural Arnica montana to soothe the skin this clever balm is multi-functional - use it as an addition to your bath and it will produce a luxurious milky bath, or massage it into aching or stiff muscles to ease the tension away. It has a refreshing light grapefruit scent with a hint of lavender to relax your mind and evening primrose and sweet almond oil to moisturise the skin.

Firstly I tried it as a massage lotion. Often I find massage oils and balms greasy on my skin, but this felt nourishing without being too oily. If you can see in my photo there is a slight sheen on the skin. Now for the fun bit, to get my husband to massage it on my back. First he warmed it in his hands then applied to my back using gentle strokes. It seemed to absorb easily and smelt lovely.  I don't know who enjoyed it the most - me or him!

A non oily but nourishing body balm with a slight sheen

Then I tried it in the bath. This isn't a bath foam, so no mass of bubbles just a gentle milky colour to the bathwater. As I got in I noticed it had a wonderful scent that wasn't too over powering, fresh yet still light. As I soaked in the water I did feel relaxed, in fact I almost nodded off.

If you are wondering what arnicare is, the active ingredient is Arnica montana. This is a gorgeous yellow flower, proven to be an effective bruise treatment with natural anti-inflammatory properties.

I think it's great that Nelson's bath and massage balm has a dual purpose, and a little goes a long way, for example only two capfuls are needed for a relaxing bath.  I think this is a lovely little present for Valentine's day, as well as the chocolates and champagne of course.

If you are wondering who Nelson's are, they are a company that has provided natural health care for o
ver 150 years and today Nelsons is Europe's oldest and the UK's largest manufacturer of homeopathic medicines. A name you can trust.

They also make the Pure and Clear skincare range made with natural plant extracts that provide anti-blemish care.  The products have a scent of tee tree oil, a natural antiseptic, that isn't overpowering. The facial wash is a great everyday skincare wash, perfect for those with greasy or combination skin. I felt it didn't leave my skin tight at all.  On to the balancing moisturiser. A very light oil-free moisturiser made with natural plant extracts, great for those with oily or combination skin it glided onto my skin and disappeared easily with no oily residue. The blemish gel is a product that absorbs easily and helps prevent spots, perfect for teenagers. My son tried this over a few days and it did appear to make his spots less red. I don't think this is a strong product so if you have acne you may need something stronger but for those with the odd spot I would say it appears to be effective.

If you like the sound of these products, I have some news for you. Nelson's are giving away two prizes to my readers of all the goodies below.
