What To Get A Mum Who Has Everything This Mother's Day

Mother's Day will be here before long and it's a day to celebrate your mum or those that have been a mum to you. Mums of course are human and not perfect but the good ones love unconditionally, support you, give praise and help provide guidelines for leading a good life. We all, at some point, take our mums for granted but they won't be there forever so appreciate them now.

Mum and I

My mum and I

I'm now in my early 50s and as you get older you realise you can no longer get away with a card and a cheap box of chocolates, you need a different gift for her. As she gets older she may have everything she needs, so it can be tricky getting that perfect gift she will appreciate.

So when Very, the online catalogue store, got in touch to collaborate with me on a post for Mother's Day, I was keen to see what they had online. I mean, we all need a little help sometimes! When I browsed the store I was really surprised with the variety of the goods they sell. Something for everyone, and plenty of choice for mums.

Here are some of my ideas of what to get the mum who has everything this Mother's Day from Very. This is an advert with Very, all words and opinions are my own.

A Cute Dress

Fat Face dress

FatFace Nina Painted Bird Jersey Dress £50

My mum is like me, and she loves her clothes. So a new top or dress from one of her favourite brands is always a good idea. She loves the brand Fat Face like I do, so this dress above would be a really great gift for her. This dress is made of soft jersey cotton and modal and has an all-over branch print with pockets too. Women need pockets in their clothes don't you think!

A Virgin Experience Day

Virgin Experience Two Night Staycation £199

Virgin Experience Days are a great idea for the mum who has everything. Prices start at £11.99 for a winery and brewery tour and go up to many hundreds of pounds for the most luxurious experiences such as a trip to Paris. I think if you really want to treat your mum and you have the money then a two-night staycation for two is ideal at £199. You can choose from two nights at a range of hotels and inns around the UK and there are also flexible exchanges and extensions too in case the experience voucher isn't quite right.

An Easy-to-Wear Tunic

Sosandar Keyhole Detail Tunic £48

A tunic like this Sosandar keyhole tunic is also a good choice for a mum that is into her fashion. This tunic is really easy to wear, loose and comfortable.  The keyhole necklace has a gold bar detail which is a nice little touch. I love the bright flowers on the tunic too. Wear with black jeans or leggings for a casual easy-to-wear but smart look.

Pretty Earrings

Jon Richard Cubic Zirconia Earrings £20

I love earrings so these Jon Richard earrings would be something I would personally love receiving for Mother's Day. These earrings are super sparkly embellished with cubic zirconia that gives the look of diamonds without the cost and are silver plated too. Very also sell a range of earrings from only a few pounds to real diamond earrings costing hundreds of pounds. Check out their website for the full range.

A Delicious Hamper

mum

There are a number of hampers on the Very website starting from £16.99 and going up to £64.99. Some of my favourites are the Afternoon Tea Hamper at £24.99, the Wine-tasting Treat Box at £27.99 and the Luxury Rose Prosecco Gift Box at £64.99. There is so much choice for foodies on the Very website. I am sure my mum would be delighted with any of these gifts.

  2. What great suggestions. I do agree it gets harder as you get older. My Mum really couldn't think what she wanted so am treating my Mum and Caitlin and myself to afternoon tea

  3. I think an experience day is a great gift for Mother's Day, especially if you are getting something that will pamper her, like a spa experience of a fancy afternoon tea.

  4. I thought Very just had clothing. I wasn't aware they'd added more items to their product range. I must go take a look, love the sound of the hamper range.
