Panasonic 4K Pro - Improving The Experience For The Viewer

Panasonic has spent time, research and money developing the latest 4K Pro technology which it showcased in February at the Panasonic convention in Frankfurt, Germany. Two ranges they are particularly proud of, are the flagship 4K Pro CX800 Series and the curved CR850 series - both designed to recreate a cinematic experience in the comfort of your own home.

So what is 4K TV and what is 4K Pro?

4K TVs are televisions with the latest in Ultra High Definition technology (UHD). With four times as many pixels as a regular HDTV their very high resolution produces sharp clear pictures with incredible detail and lifelike colour.

4K Pro is a term for a number of technologies used to improve 4K to a professional standard, immersing the viewer in a high definition light and sound experience, just as the director intended.

Panasonic have improved the colour reproduction of their latest 4K Pro televisions with 'wide colour phosphor' which is 98% of the colour standard of digital cinema. Colours are rich, true to life and vibrant, yet natural and accurate. With 4K Pro there are 4000 registry points we can check against when applying brightness to colour. Colours are not just red, green and blue but cyan, magenta and yellow all combine to produce colour that is natural and lifelike and that the director wanted the viewer to see.

The contrast is excellent, with the 4K Pro televisions, and with 'Local Dimming Pro', shadow detailing in dark areas is improved by a system of analysing images to work out the best graduation range.

Panasonic have also improved their 4K curved TVs, now with an enhanced field of view, bright lifelike picture and a greater sense of depth, the result is an extremely pleasing cinematic look. The curved 8500 is available in a stylish metal design in a size up to 65 inches. For a true cinematic experience all you need is the popcorn!

With these new developments you can see why Panasonic are a worldwide leader in advancements in technology. If you are considering a 4K television I recommend you check out the Panasonic brand, for crisp sharp visuals, superb contrast and natural lifelike colours - you won't be disappointed.

  1. When me an my dad always go in John Lewis we always look at the 4K TV's. 4K is great but what they don't tell you is that no one is broadcasting in it yet. My dad said this to the rep who was there and he reluctantly agreed with him x
