Sizestyler - Your Fashion Fit

Finding fashion on the high street to fit your own unique curves can be so frustrating. Size guides vary so much. In one store you maybe a 14, in another a 16. I know in my experience brands geared towards teenagers and younger adults like Topshop for example have smaller sizes than brands geared towards older ladies like Marks and Spencer. It can be so disheartening picking up your regular size in a different store to normal and finding it is too tight. Standard sizes also don't appear to exist any more, and over the years sizes appear to be getting bigger. This is where Sizestyler comes in.

Sizestyler is a website that aims to take the stress out of finding the correct size for you, from your personalised measurements, when comparing various fashion brands.

It is quick and easy to use the site.

1. Measure Up

Firstly sign up to the website, via email, Facebook or Twitter. This will allow you to create an account and put your measurements into their software.

This information is kept safe and secure and not shared with anyone. If you are not sure how to measure their helpful tips will guide you.

2. Show My Sizes

Next click on the Show My Sizes icon and the website will check your measurements across the brands. This is especially useful for leg length I feel. They filter out anything that won't fit.

3. Pick Your Favourite Brands

Personalise your search results by using their My Favourite Brands section.

Once you have picked these filtering is easy just click on the My Brands icon which also allows you to rank your favourites brands in order too.

4. Shop

Once you have done all this you can now shop easily from hundreds of brands with size recommendations matched to you. The process of using the site is FREE but, and I say this tongue in cheek, they cannot be held responsible for what you buy when you find your ideal size!

The products can be filtered by price, brand, discount and colour.

As you can see from the image above, the website suggests sizes based on your measurements. Clicking on the item will take you to the website of that brand and that's it.

You can also click on a 'Sales Alert' or 'Back In Stock Alert' too, and the website will email you. Very handy indeed to snap up the best bargains!

How Sizestyler works

So why don't you sign up, get your measuring tape out and go shopping with your own personal shopper - Sizestyler?

Tell me, do you find your size is different with different brands? Would you use a website like this?

  2. This sounds like quite a helpful little tool to have. There is nothing more annoying then falling in love with an item of clothing in the size you think is for you to find it isn't x

  3. Sounds like a great website. I love being able to pop into my favourite store knowing what size I am, but then when I go to others sizes vary so much x

  4. I think this is a brilliant idea, especially as sizing varies so much from shop to shop these days.

  5. This sounds like just the tool I need! I can vary from a size 8 waist in Next to a 10 or even a 12 elsewhere. And being short it would be useful to know if the length is OK for me. The allegedly petite size 10 jeans I bought recently in George Asda were still a couple of inches too long and big around the waist.

  6. Love the idea of the website, as it gets very confusing when shopping online, I'm always worried I won't order the right size!

  7. I'm definitely going to give this a go. I am 4ft11 and curvy and find it hard to find clothes that fit sometimes. Topshop is a no go for me and I think they are contributing to young girls' weight concerns by selling smaller sizes!

  9. What a great idea, I always feel like it's so up and down in sizes and even in the same shop the different ranges can be all over the place! I really love the idea of this

    1. I think it's a great idea too, being short I really struggle to get trousers with a 28 inch leg length.

  12. Aw what a brilliant idea I am only 5ft so I often find jeans and trousers are far too long for me

  13. This sounds so useful. Having long legs means I often end up with trousers that don't reach my ankles. It would be nice to buy with confidence.

  14. This looks like a really good idea. I always find trouser shopping hard cause they seem to think everyone is super tall meaning i can only go to certain shops that do shorter length trousers x
