Noah is 4 years old, and this poor little boy spent the first 5 weeks of his life in a special care baby unit. Born 9 weeks early he had a shaky start to life. Unfortunately, he was born with cerebral palsy and each day he has massive challenges just to get through the day. He has great difficulty with walking as balancing and mobility is impossible unaided.
His family are clinging onto a dream to see this little boy walk one day. They have a glimmer of hope. Noah has been accepted by a leading American children's hospital to have a life changing operation called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR).
This extremely complex and skilled operation involves a complex procedure, which involves the neurosurgeon cutting some of the sensory nerve fibers, which come from the muscles to enter the spinal cord. While they do this they test every nerve fiber to ensure they are working and reacting with the muscles correctly, the nerve fibers not working are cut away, giving the mobility to walk.
As you can imagine an operation like this isn't cheap.

Noah's charity is Tree of Hope; Tree of Hope offers hope to the families of sick children in the UK needing specialist medical surgery, treatment, therapy and equipment to free them from suffering, giving a better quality of live.
