Simba Hybrid Duvet and Simba Hybrid Mattress Topper Review

Sleeping well is important for your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It's also well-documented that not getting enough quality sleep regularly can lead to strokes, dementia and other conditions. Yet many of us neglect our sleep routine and also our mattresses. I know this as my mattress is old and isn't conducive to a restful night's sleep. So Simba Sleep came to my rescue. This is a review in partnership with Simba Sleep. I was gifted items for an honest review. For this review, Simba Sleep sent me the Simba Hybrid duvet and the Simba Hybrid mattress topper.

Who are Simba Sleep?

Simba Sleep are a company that produces quality bedroom products like mattresses, pillows, duvets and bedding. They use cutting-edge technology and have analysed the data of over 10 million body profiles, this in turn has helped them to make mattresses that are said to be some of the most comfortable in the world.

Simba Hybrid Duvet Review

The Simba Hybrid Duvet is lightweight and delivered in as little packaging as possible, in a material bag which you can use to store your duvet.

Simba Duvet

The duvet is 10.5 TOG which is the warmth rating. This type of TOG means it is a good all-round duvet for all weathers.

The duvet is made with Stratos® cool technology, so it is cool to the touch and keeps you feeling fresh and supports airflow. This is perfect for me, as I am in my early 50s and going through menopause. If you get hot flushes or night sweats you will know what I mean! This technology helps regulate your temperature as you sleep keeping you comfortable all night long.

The duvets use Simba Renew Bio™ which is made from recycled PET bottle fibres. It also biodegrades at the end of its life and almost totally dissolves in about two years when deposited in a landfill environment. So top marks to Simba Sleep for that!

They are part of the Better Cotton Initiative, using transparently sourced materials wherever they can.

Taking care of the duvet is easy as it is completely machine washable and being lightweight it doesn't take as long to dry as duvets did in the past.

This duvet feels lovely and comfortable when sleeping, and it is so nice not to wake up in a bath of sweat! Sorry for the graphic description!

Simba Hybrid Mattress Topper Review

The Simba Hybrid Mattress Topper is another lightweight product from Simba Sleep. If you have never owned a mattress topper and wonder what it is, it's a thinner mattress that sits on top of your normal mattress to provide extra comfort and support. A mattress topper is a cost-effective way of helping you get a decent night's sleep when your mattress isn't supportive any more.

The mattress topper is really easy to fit, and is held in place using 4 corner straps. You may find it a little tricky to get our of the box, so I recommend a partner or friend to help you.

The surface of the mattress topper is soft and made of a breathable material and the top cover is removable and washable.  It's also infused with graphite to help dissipate heat and give you a comfortable night's sleep.

It's made with an Aerocoil® spring layer that helps you stop rolling towards your partner if you are sharing a bed.

I would also use the mattress topper on its own for an emergency bedding situation, for example, if your kids have friends over. I would think you could also use it on a blow-up bed or sofa bed but I haven't tried it out in that situation

The Simba Hybrid Mattress Topper is verified by B Lab to meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. Simba can also take away your old mattress to recycle for you.

As I said the top cover is removable and washable too.

I would definitely recommend the Simba Hybrid Mattress Topper as it is supremely comfortable and a cost-effective way of helping you improve your sleep.

All Simba mattresses are designed and made in the UK and the company has over 300,000 5-star reviews online.
