Why Can’t I Send GIFs on WhatsApp?

GIFs have become a fun and dynamic way to communicate, adding a splash of emotion or a touch of wit to everyday conversations. Platforms like WhatsApp have embraced GIFs, making them a staple of digital expressions. However, if you’re facing issues sending GIFs on WhatsApp, you’re not alone. Even though WhatsApp supports GIFs, there are occasions when users encounter roadblocks. Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered with a detailed overview of the common reasons and practical solutions, whether you’re chatting about travel, fashion or UK adventures!

Common Reasons You Can't Send GIFs on WhatsAp

Whats App

Wondering why your GIFs refuse to send? The issue could be one of several common factors:

1. App Version Is Outdated

WhatsApp frequently introduces new features and bug fixes through app updates. If your version of WhatsApp isn't current, it might not fully support GIF functionality.

How to fix it Visit the Google Play Store (Android) or the App Store (iOS) and check for updates.
Install the latest version to ensure access to the complete set of GIF functions.

2. Device Compatibility

If you’re using an older smartphone or an outdated operating system, GIF-related features may not work as intended. Some older devices may lack the hardware capability necessary for smooth GIF playback.

How to fix it Check your phone's OS. If your operating system is no longer supported by WhatsApp, consider updating your device.

3. Poor Internet Connection

GIFs require stable and reasonably fast internet speeds to upload and send. A slow or intermittent connection can lead to failed uploads.

How to fix it Switch to a faster Wi-Fi network if possible or ensure a strong mobile data connection.

4. File Size Limitations

WhatsApp imposes size limits for media—large GIFs often exceed these restrictions, leading to failed transfers.

How to fix it Compress your GIF or select smaller-sized files to send smoothly.

How WhatsApp Sends GIFs

WhatsApp provides several convenient ways to send GIFs, making interaction more dynamic and engaging.

1. WhatsApp’s Built-In GIF Library

WhatsApp integrates with Giphy, giving you access to an extensive library of GIFs without needing another app.

How to use it: Open a chat, tap the emoji icon, and switch to the "GIF" tab.
Search for any keyword to find the perfect GIF for the moment.

2. Sending GIFs from the Gallery

Got a GIF saved on your phone? WhatsApp lets you share it from your gallery.

How to do it: On Android or iOS, tap the paperclip or "+" icon in a chat, select "Gallery," and pick your desired GIF.

3. Converting Videos to GIFs

WhatsApp automatically converts short videos into GIFs for easy sharing.

How to use it: Select a video shorter than six seconds, toggle the "GIF" option during upload, and send.

Troubleshooting GIF Sending Issues

If your GIFs won’t send, here are some troubleshooting steps to fix the problem:

1. Update WhatsApp

Make sure you're using the latest app version. Outdated versions might have unresolved bugs affecting GIF functionality.

2. Clear Cache and Data

Temporary glitches can often be resolved by clearing your app cache—just be cautious not to delete your chats.

Steps on Android: Go to "Settings" > "Apps" > "WhatsApp" > "Storage" > "Clear Cache."

Steps on iOS: iOS doesn't allow clearing cache individually, but reinstalling WhatsApp will do the trick.

3. Check Network Settings

Ensure you have a reliable internet connection; unstable connections commonly block media transfers.

4. Reboot Your Device

Restarting your phone can resolve temporary issues causing apps to malfunction.

Alternatives to Sending GIFs on WhatsApp

If troubleshooting still doesn’t work, there are other ways to share your favourite GIFs:

Using a GIF Maker

Third-party apps like Adobe Express allow you to create customised GIFs. You can manually share these GIFs on WhatsApp even if the in-app functionality is acting up. Online GIF maker can be an alternative option in this case.

Convert GIFs to Videos

When file size becomes an issue, convert your GIF into a small video file to bypass WhatsApp’s restrictions.

WhatsApp GIF Limitations

Even with everything working correctly, WhatsApp does have some inherent limitations with GIFs.

1. File Size and Quality

WhatsApp compresses large media files, including GIFs. This compression can affect the quality of your GIF, making it blurrier or less vivid.

2. Platform Differences

How WhatsApp handles GIFs can vary slightly across Android, iOS, and the Web. For instance, older iOS versions may handle certain GIFs differently than the latest WhatsApp web version.

Future Updates and Fixes

WhatsApp continually improves its features, including GIF functionality. Here’s what might be coming next:

1. Upcoming Features

Rumours suggest WhatsApp may expand its GIF library and add improved editing tools to customise GIFs directly within the app.

2. WhatsApp Beta

Consider joining WhatsApp Beta, where you can test new features early and provide feedback. It’s an excellent way to stay ahead of upcoming updates.

What You Can Do Now

Understanding why you can’t send GIFs on WhatsApp—and learning how to fix it—can make your conversations livelier again. From updating your app to using a workaround like converting GIFs to videos, these solutions will help you troubleshoot and share GIFs effortlessly.

Still, encountering issues? Check out third-party GIF apps or explore WhatsApp Beta for advanced features. No matter the roadblock, one thing’s for sure—your chats will never be dull again!

How Playing Simulation Games Can Help You Run A Coffee Shop

If you love playing SIM games on the laptop or phone I have something interesting for you today.  SIM games or simulation games have been around since I was a teenager and the popularity of these games are still going strong. They closely align with real-world activities where you use your skills, strategy and chance to do an activity.

Simulation games have been proven to really help your problem-solving and decision-making skills and immerse you in real-world situations from the comfort of your laptop.

The games on Mortgage Calculator are all designed around money, teaching real-world problems, from balancing your finances in your personal life to business money management. One of the games that appealed to me was the Coffee Shop Game.

coffee game

The game is easy enough to play and is about setting up a coffee shop. You have to buy the right amount of coffee cups, coffee, sugar and milk and make it to the right recipe.  There is a trick to getting the right recipe for coffee. If the people buying it think it's not strong enough, sweet or creamy enough this will affect your reputation and how many people will buy your coffee.

You have to consider the weather when it comes to how many cups of coffee you will sell. Obviously, there will be more demand for the coffee on a cold day. You can charge more too.

As the days progressed I found that it was a good idea to reduce the price of the coffee in the late afternoon as you didn't want to be left with too much coffee, sugar or milk at the end of the day. This is because the coffee would go stale, the sugar would be eaten by ants and the milk would go off.  You could adjust the price of the coffee at any time of the day. I priced my coffee higher in the morning to deal with the rush to get morning coffee.

The cups are the only thing that does not spoil so you can carry them over to the next day.

The game was surprisingly enjoyable to complete. I was pleased I made a profit of over 70 dollars in the two weeks on my first attempt. On my second attempt, I gained a profit of 84 dollars.

This type of game simulation teaches the very basics of supply and demand. This would be an interesting game to teach teenagers the simple nature of business. After all, it's about buying products at the right price, stocking the right inventory which can be affected by the time of year, the weather and what is trending, and selling products that are keenly priced to make a profit.

I really enjoyed the game. It reminded me of the games I used to play when I was younger before everything became high-tech. There are other business simulation games on this site, from running your own flower shop, opening a chocolate shop, and running your own restaurant

If you want to check out research on the benefits of simulation games check out the link here.

Let me know, do you enjoy SIM games? Would this game appeal to you?

What Should You Pay Attention to When Starting a Podcast for the First Time? Key Tips for Beginners

When starting a podcast, it's important to focus on your niche and audience, decide on your podcast's format and style, and choose a memorable name. These elements are key to attracting and retaining listeners. Here is a post on podcast fundamentals.

Identifying Your Niche and Audience

First, think about what you are passionate about and what you can talk about consistently. Your podcast should focus on a specific topic or niche. This makes it easier to attract loyal listeners who are interested in that subject.

Next, identify your target audience. Who are they? What are their interests and preferences? Create a persona for your typical listener. This helps you tailor your content to meet their needs and expectations.

Research other podcasts in your niche. Understand what they are doing well and how you can differentiate your own show. This gives you insights into what your potential audience might expect and helps you find your unique voice.

Determining the Format and Style

Your podcast format is how your show is structured. Consider if you want to do interviews, solo episodes, co-hosted shows, or a mix. Each format has its benefits. For example, interviews can bring in new perspectives, while solo episodes let you share your expertise directly.

Think about the length of your episodes. Some podcasts are short and sweet, around 15-20 minutes, while others can run for an hour or more. Choose a length that fits your content and keeps your audience engaged.

Pay attention to the style and tone of your podcast. Do you want it to be formal or casual? Informative or entertaining? Your style should match your content and resonate with your audience. Consistency in style helps build a loyal listener base.

Choosing a Memorable Podcast Name

A good podcast name should be catchy and easy to remember. It should reflect the content and tone of your podcast. Avoid using overly complex words or jargon that might confuse potential listeners.

Brainstorm a list of possible names and check if they are already in use. Your name should stand out but also give a clear idea of what your podcast is about. Use keywords related to your topic to improve searchability.

Consider involving your audience in the naming process. You could run a poll or ask for suggestions. This helps build early engagement and makes your listeners feel involved in your podcast journey.

Technical Setup

When starting a podcast, paying attention to the technical setup is crucial to ensure your show sounds great from the start. This involves selecting the right equipment, using reliable recording and editing software, and taking steps to enhance the audio quality.

Selecting the Right Equipment

Choosing the proper recording equipment is the first step. A good microphone is essential; consider models like the Blue Yeti or Audio-Technica ATR2100x. These offer clear sound and durability.

Using quality headphones or other accessories will help you monitor audio for any issues. Closed-back headphones are often preferred as they block external noise.

You'll also need a pop filter to reduce plosive sounds and a mic stand for stable positioning. Remember, investing in these items will enhance the overall sound of your podcast.

Understanding Recording and Editing Software

podcast

The software you choose for recording and editing is just as important as the hardware. Audacity and GarageBand are popular options because they are free and user-friendly.

For more advanced features, Adobe Audition or Reaper might be better choices. These programs offer powerful editing tools that allow you to cut, mix, and fine-tune your episodes.

Make sure to spend time learning how to use your chosen software. Many offer tutorials to help you get started, so take advantage of these resources.

Enhancing Audio Quality

Improving audio quality is vital for retaining listeners. Start by recording in a quiet, echo-free space. Room soundproofing, like foam panels or heavy curtains, can help minimize background noise.

Editing plays a big role in audio quality. Use your software to remove any unwanted sounds and balance the audio levels. Adding intro and outro music can make your podcast sound more professional.

Finally, consider using an audio interface if you're using XLR microphones. This device converts the analogue signal to digital, producing cleaner audio. Good examples are the Focusrite Scarlett series or the Behringer UMC22.

Content Creation

Creating content for your podcast involves planning engaging material, structuring episodes, and deciding on the format like solo or co-hosted shows. This part is crucial to keep your listeners hooked and wanting more.

Crafting Engaging Content and Scripts

Start by defining your podcast topic clearly. Choose something you are passionate about and that resonates with your target audience. Use research to find out what similar podcasts are doing and how you can offer something unique.

Plan your episodes with detailed scripts. This doesn't mean writing every word you will say, but having an outline helps you stay on track. Include intro, main points, and outro segments. Use bullet points or a table to organize your thoughts.

Keep it interesting and fun. Use stories, facts, and humour to engage your listeners.

Conducting Interviews and Conversations

Interviews add variety and depth to your podcast content. Ensure you prepare by researching your guests thoroughly. Come up with insightful questions that encourage detailed answers, not just yes or no responses.

During interviews, listen actively. Follow-up questions can bring out more interesting points. Keep the conversation flowing smoothly while staying on topic.

Be respectful and give your guests time to speak. Balance your input with theirs to create a natural conversation.

Balancing Solo and Co-Hosted Episodes

Deciding between solo and co-hosted episodes affects how you create content. Solo podcasts allow you to share your thoughts directly but require engaging monologues to keep the audience interested.

For co-hosted episodes, coordinate well with your co-host. Plan who says what to avoid talking over each other. Shared chemistry can make the show more enjoyable.

Mixing both formats can also be effective. Solo episodes can delve deep into personal insights, while co-hosted ones can feature lively discussions and differing viewpoints.

Online Presence and Branding

Creating a strong online presence and effective branding is crucial when starting a podcast. Focus on designing engaging visuals and implementing strategic online tactics to build and grow your audience.

Designing a Compelling Cover Art and Website

Your podcast’s cover art is like the front cover of a book—it’s the first thing potential listeners see. Make sure it’s eye-catching and representative of your podcast’s content. Use bold colours, readable fonts, and graphics that capture the essence of your brand.

Investing in a podcast website offers numerous benefits. It serves as a hub for your content, including episode listings, an RSS feed, and additional information about your podcast. Incorporate a blog section to dive deeper into episode topics and include links to listen on platforms like Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

Your cover art and website should both reinforce your podcast brand. Consistent design elements create a cohesive look. This can establish credibility and help retain listeners.

Establishing Social Media and SEO Strategies

Social media is a powerful tool to widen your podcast’s reach. Create accounts on platforms like Instagram and TikTok to engage with audiences. Use these channels to share episode highlights, behind-the-scenes content, and interact with listeners.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) enhances your podcast’s discoverability. Optimize your episode titles, and descriptions, and show notes with relevant keywords. This boosts your visibility on search engines and podcast platforms.

Use hashtags on social media to increase reach and find new listeners. Engaging content and strategic hashtags can boost your posts. Leveraging both social media and SEO will help your podcast attract a dedicated and growing audience.

Distribution and Growth

Getting your podcast in front of listeners is crucial. You need to know the right hosting platforms and engage effectively to grow your audience.

Leveraging Podcast Hosting Platforms

making a podcast

Choose a podcast hosting platform that offers easy-to-use features, including RSS feed creation. Platforms like bCast provide tools not just for hosting but also for distribution and analytics.

Submit your podcast to major directories such as iTunes, Spotify, and Google Podcasts. Make sure your podcast title and descriptions are optimized for search engines to increase visibility.

Regularly check analytics to see which episodes are performing well and adjust your content strategy accordingly. Using these analytics, you can improve your podcast format and content to retain and grow your audience.

Maximising Listener Engagement and Traffic

Building a community around your podcast is key to growth. Engage with your audience on social media platforms and encourage reviews and ratings on podcast directories.

Create valuable content like images, clips, and shareable quotes to promote your episodes. Use these resources on different social media networks to reach more people.

Interact with your listeners by responding to comments and messages. Consider building an email list to keep your audience updated with new episodes and special content. This will help in keeping your audience engaged and returning for more.

Monetisation and Expansion

Starting a podcast can be exciting and rewarding. It's crucial to consider how to monetize and grow your podcast to keep it sustainable.

Exploring Monetisation Strategies

To make money from your podcast, explore different ways to monetize. Sponsorships are a popular choice. You can find sponsors using platforms like Podcorn and Patreon. Make sure the sponsors match your podcast’s niche.

Another option is ad placements. You can sell these on a cost-per-thousand basis (CPM). Typical rates are $18 per 1,000 for a 15-second mention or $25 per 1,000 for a 60-second mention.

Creating premium content is also effective. Offer ad-free episodes, early access, or exclusive perks like behind-the-scenes content. Note that subscriptions on platforms like Apple Podcasts require a yearly fee and revenue sharing.

Maintaining Consistency and Scaling Your Podcast

Consistency is key to growing your podcast. Plan your episodes and release them regularly. This builds trust with your listeners. Using show notes helps highlight key points and enhances the listener's experience.

As your audience grows, think about expanding. Collaborate with other creators and invite guests to your show. This can attract their followers to your podcast.

Engage with your audience on social media to build a community. Share episode teasers and interact with comments. This engagement can attract new listeners and potential sponsors.

Remember, your podcast must offer value to retain listeners. High-quality intro music and engaging content can make a difference. Planning your content carefully will help you stay relevant and maintain direction.

How is CAD Used for Jewellery Design

Computer-aided design or CAD refers to the use of computer software to digitally design products before they are physically manufactured. This article will focus on the impact that CAD has had within the world of jewellery design, and some of the many benefits this process provides.

What is CAD?

CAD

CAD, or ‘Computer Aided Design’, is the process where computer software is used to digitally create 2D drawings or blueprints or 3D models of real-world products before they are actually manufactured.

CAD is prevalent in industries such as automotive, architecture and engineering, but the process of using CAD software can be applied across many other industries and sectors. It’s a great way of saving time and improving productivity, as well as allowing for scope to improve the end product and the quality of the designs.

How Does CAD Work In Jewellery Design?

CAD jewellery

In the same way that the use of CAD can apply across a wide range of other industries and sectors, the use of CAD in jewellery creation offers many benefits to designers too.

Instead of drawing designs for jewellery by hand, many designers are now turning to CAD for their creative process. Specialist software can allow designers to bring their jewellery to life on screen, or better yet create real-life prototype models so they can get a better understanding of shape and specific components such as mounts or stones. CAD allows designers to create their visions in fine and intricate detail, which is perfect for products as delicate as jewellery such as rings or earrings.

The above process is often referred to as ‘Additive Manufacturing’. This is when a design file is sent to a CD printer or milling machine to create a physical model or prototype. Very fine horizontal layers of material and built up on top of one another until the design is formed. This prototype model, usually made from a form of polymer, can then be converted into a metal master model by the process of casting, also known as ‘Rapid Prototyping’.

What Are The Benefits Of Using Jewellery Design Software?

ring

There are a range of benefits to using CAD software for jewellery designers. Some of them include

  • Faster design: Products can be designed in a much more efficient and time-saving manner as the software allows the designers to create mock-up ideas a lot faster than drawing out 2D designs by hand.
  • Error-free production: Using CAD software means there is little room for error, as dimensions and sizes can be properly adhered to during the design process.
  • Clear cost projections: Creating real-life models of the products means you have a clear understanding of the amount of raw materials you may need to use when creating your final product and how much creating each piece of jewellery could cost. Clients can also see their products before they are actually manufactured, which means items can be marketed ahead of time and that can help drive customers to make a purchase.

Software That Guides Home Care

Finding the right software to guide home care solutions can be a daunting task. With so many options available, it's hard to know which software will best suit your needs. From scheduling and task lists to managing multiple caregivers, there are software packages that offer comprehensive solutions for home care providers. Whether you're an individual caregiver or part of a larger organization, having the likes of scheduling software in place will help ensure that important aspects of care are handled efficiently and effectively.

In this article, I'll take a look at some of the features offered by various software programs designed specifically for home care providers, as well as tips on how to choose the best solution for your business. We'll also discuss the benefits of software that is tailored to your specific home care needs, such as appointment management and tracking caregiver performance.

Easier Management of Schedules

Scheduling software can be an invaluable tool for home care providers. It allows caregivers to easily manage their working schedules, assign tasks and keep track of appointments. This type of software can also provide reminders for immunizations, medications, and other important events. With software to aid the management of tasks, caregivers can be assured that their patients are receiving the best care possible.

Things like immunizations and medications are important when they are necessary to protect patients from diseases they might be vulnerable to and to manage existing conditions. They must be taken daily and not forgotten. That is if they are to prove effective. A digital schedule drawn up in respect of patients will mean that they are seen in time for the correct medication to be given. This all needs to be factored into the process of home care as well as the type of care that can take place in any setting.

Software for Tracking Caregiver Performance

For larger home care agencies, software designed to track performance is an invaluable tool. This is because it allows managers to easily monitor caregiver hours and performance, helping to ensure that all those involved in the sector are meeting the standards set by the agency. It also allows agencies to reward good performance, giving incentives for providers to continue delivering quality care.

We always need some way of measuring just how things are going. This goes for each patient, who will have individual needs and require the same level of care. The highest standards can be reached when we monitor whether or not we are falling short. There is a lot of demand for care and a lot of expectations placed on the sector, so it is important to have software to help track what is going on.

Choosing the Right Software

When choosing software to guide home care solutions, several factors should be taken into consideration. First, you want to be sure that the software is tailored to your specific needs. Next, consider whether you need it for scheduling or tracking caregiver performance, and look for packages that offer both features. Lastly, compare different software packages to find the most cost-effective solution.

The good thing about choosing software online is that you have the opportunity to directly compare features and the cost between the different options and providers. We have to not only think about the cost of the initial purchase, but also the updates required and the amount of training needed to bring everyone up to speed with using the chosen package. On the other hand, consider how much we can save by streamlining our processes by using the software. In the end, we will likely decide that software provides the more cost-effective option.

Final Thoughts

So, by selecting software designed specifically for home care providers, caregivers can be confident that their patients are receiving the best care possible.

With software to guide home care solutions, providers should now be able to cope with their schedules, delegate tasks, and have the capabilities to keep track of everyone’s performance, providing an excellent solution for both individual caregivers and larger agencies.

5 Benefits Of Digital Marketing For Small Businesses

If you have a small business then you know where every penny goes, after all, your business is your baby. So when you are looking for marketing options, especially for the first time you may be nervous. How can you spend your marketing budget wisely?

digital marketing
Digital marketing is one of the ways to do this, so let's look at 5 of the benefits of digital marketing for small businesses.

What is digital marketing?

Digital marketing is a form of marketing that uses the internet, and other online technologies such as apps, websites, emails and social media to promote your business. There are many benefits of using digital marketing such as increasing the awareness of your brand, driving sales and being cost-effective, so let us explore this more.

Brand Awareness

Of course, the main benefit of marketing is to raise brand awareness. That's the reason people market their business. Digital marketing can really help with this. People expect a website presence these days so having a website and being on social media raises brand awareness and thus the performance of your business. You don't have to do this all yourself, you can utilize the services of digital marketing companies or video production companies such as ASL Productions, to give you a slick and professional look to your business. Think of a website as a window into your business. You can integrate a shopping cart into your website too. You can employ someone to do this for you or use a free blog template and a site such as Shopify to sell your products.

Drives Sales

Digital marketing can really drive sales. An e-commerce website can show your products to people around the world. Having a way to buy your products online is almost essential for a business these days too. A well-designed website can help you form a good impression on your prospective customers. It can also help you nurture your leads and get more conversions. But, more importantly, it provides good user experience. In reality it would make perfect sense to outsource this and get help from professional web designers, and it doesn't matter whether you are looking for web design Melbourne or web design in Manchester, it's important to look for web designers with a good track record providing easy to navigate websites. Setting up social media, either yourself or through a social media manager is another way of getting your business out there. Posting offers and sales on social media with photos of the products raises brand awareness and drives sales. Having an email newsletter can also get your news and products out there and drive sales too.

Increases Your Reach

Digital marketing can increase your reach to other markets that you may not reach with traditional marketing like newspapers and magazines. This is where SEO can help. SEO or search engine optimising is a way of ensuring your website is at the top of the search results for what you sell. Unless you have a good knowledge of SEO it's worth employing an SEO agency to help you do this. After all, you can't always be an expert in everything.

Is Cost-effective

Traditional ways of advertising such as billboards, radio, TV, newspapers and magazines can be expensive. Digital marketing can be surprisingly cost-effective and also can be highly targeted. For example, you can set up a Facebook advert for under £10 and you can target your audience to a geographical area, age of potential buyer and interests. With technology, it's easy to track the response to your adverts such as click-throughs and sales. If something isn't working then you can change it easily too.

Can Increase Trust And Reputation

Digital marketing can increase the trust in your brand and improve your reputation. It's always a good idea to have comments from customers who are happy with your brand, whether you sell products or provide a service on your website or social media. Ask to use their quotes with permission. Review sites such as Trustpilot can also be used, so encourage past customers to write a review if they are happy with the company. If you have a social media presence for your company, being pleasant and polite on social media is a must, and answering queries promptly can help build trust too.

So here are 5 of the top benefits of digital marketing for small businesses. Do you use digital marketing for your business?

How To Monetize A Mobile Application - 8 Most Popular Methods

The ultimate goal of the development and launch of any mobile application is to obtain revenue, and the approach can vary depending on the app. I have chosen the eight most widespread ways to monetize Android and iOS apps the brief outline of which you can find below.

8 Ways To Make Your App Profitable

mobile apps

Here are some strategies that help you monetize your app:

  1. Advertising is the most and fastest growing tool. Monetization takes place via the demonstration of native ads in the app. These can be images, short videos, animations, or interactive samples. The income is obtained through the sales of advertising space which the advertisers buy on different ad exchange platforms. This is a viable strategy for any type of app, including games.

  2. The in-app purchase strategy means that the users buy virtual goods within the application and pay real money for those. The items available for purchase are most often specific objects in the game that make the process more enjoyable and easier. However, the number of players willing to pay for such perks has been going down year after year.

  3. Freemium is the model familiar to many users when the basic features of an app are free of charge, and the extended version is available on a paid basis. This is the principle that used to be applied in the so-called shareware computer software, but it has the same downside as the in-app purchase scheme – there are not that many people ready to pay.

  4. A paid subscription is the method promoted by Apple and Google. This strategy means that the users are regularly charged for a certain period they use the app or have access to the content. This is a great strategy for video streaming services, yet, it is quite hard to gain a loyal audience ready to pay regularly.

  5. The paid download is, probably, the least feasible way of mobile app monetization. Its ole advantage is that the owners get instant income with every new download and every new user. However, not many people are ready to pay for an unknown app, especially, when there are lots of free alternatives.

  6. Paid functions work well, e.g., in VPN apps. The free version might include a limited number of countries, whereas the additional payment gives the user access to several dozens or even hundreds of locations. Another example of this strategy is the paid no-ad version of an app.

  7. Marketplaces and service applications often operate on the percentage of the transaction basis. The owners get paid for every transaction that took place via their app. The disadvantage is that the owners become the persons liable for the quality of goods and services ordered through their apps and might be involved in various claims and disputes.

  8. Apart from all the abovementioned, there is a range of mixed strategies including several different ones. It is up to the owner to decide which methods are worth applying to their product.

What is better?

It is obvious that advertising is the most efficient method. You do not need to charge your users, your app remains free of charge, and it is the advertiser who pays for everything. It is a great tool that involves no risks and allows you to monetize any mobile application, including gaming ones. You simply sell your ad space and obtain passive income.
