How To Style Your Man For Spring 2016

Do you have a man that loves fashion as much as mine or is your other half just not bothered and would wear anything? Well if you are looking for some advice or just want to see what's around, here are some of my fashion style picks from House Of Fraser for Spring 2016.

Smarter than a t-shirt, a polo shirt is great for that smart casual look. My husband loves Hugo Boss so I had to include an item from their range. This fashion fit polo shirt has an interesting contrast collar and hem. Hugo Boss products are quality items and although not cheap, I feel you do get what you pay for.

This fun fashion print t-shirt from Barbour, celebrates the brand's iconic heritage. For cool bikers and those stylish men that love the Barbour brand everywhere, and if it's cool enough for Steve McQueen it's cool enough for my man.

Not every man suites the skinny leg look, so a classic pair of dark straight leg jeans as a wardrobe must have. Inspired by an American denim classic, these jeans also have a modern edge, mid rise with 5 pockets they are made of cotton with elastane for a little stretch and excellent fit.

These Paul Smith sneaker trainers are fashionable without being too quirky. I love the great detail on the side stripe. Simply cool. Enough said.

 This Tommy Hilfiger men's mac is a timeless classic. In a double breasted style with belt for a fitted look, it can also be hand washed as well as dry cleaned, which is useful to know. Mac's are coming back into fashion too so he can be fashionable, stylish and practical!

My Holiday Fashion Wishlist

Summer holidays are fast approaching and this is the time of year when I look in my wardrobe and think I haven't got any decent summer clothes. So I have been looking around the perfect holiday clothes, and although I didn't realise, there is a little theme going on here of black and floral. These are the clothes I have on my wishlist.


Freya 'In The Mix' Bikini

The underwired bikini top holds busty ladies up and the halter neck gives a flattering fit. I love the frill on the bikini bottom too. If you feel your stomach is on show wear a sarong or beach dress on top. Everyone should have a black bikini or swimsuit in their wardrobe as the colour never dates.


Yumi Dip Floral Dress

This dress in a fit and flare style is so flattering as it loosely covers your stomach and is made of a cotton fabric with elastane for some stretch. Perfect for the day with some ballet pumps, simple silver earrings and a cross body bag or for night with some wedges and a bright cardi.

Biba Floral Blouse

This floaty loose fitting top would be great worn with black or navy jeans, or capri pants. Glam it up for the evening with lots of silver bangles, hoop earrings and a fabulous clutch bag.  So boho darling!

 Slide In 'Novy' Suede Fit Flops 

These pretty but practical Fit Flops tone your legs when you walk. I have a similar pair in Navy and they are very comfortable on as there is super soft suede under the straps. The sparkle adds that wow factor too. When you have walking to do but still want to look super stylish wear these. 



Ted Baker Camisole

I am a huge fan of Ted baker bags and purses and this camisole caught my eye  because of the beautiful print. Wear with a black cashmere cardi or a fitted jacket for a smarter look. Don't forget a strapless bra underneath or alternatively a bra with pretty straps as these will be on show with the thin spaghetti straps of the top.

This clutch bag by Michael Kors is simple, classic and understated. With a textured finish and a box design, this stylish accessory will add a touch of class to your evening outfit.

Izabel London From House Of Fraser

Whenever I am in Cardiff I pop into House Of Fraser. I like to browse the beauty counters, in particular Benefit and my husband buys from Ted Baker. I also adore the handbag section, Fiorelli bags and Ted Baker purses are a weakness of mine.

So when House Of Fraser got in touch to ask me to review one of their dresses from Izabel London, I was delighted, especially when it was in a floral pattern and in a style I would pick myself.







This dress is unashamedly feminine with an all over print, v next and button detail on the front. Being made of a soft and easy to wear, slightly stretchy fabric, the material moves with you and is incredible comfortable on. It is made of a knitted woven material so it is perfect for this time of year when it is still a bit chilly outside. This shift dress is incredibly flattering on, skimming my curves. 

Regarding sizing I think it is fairly true to size, perhaps slightly bigger than I would normally wear. On the House Of Fraser website there is a nifty little gadget called "Your True Fit" that allows you to add your measurements to work out the correct size item for you. Very useful I must admit!



I feel this dress is very versatile especially if you love dresses as much as me. I would pair this dress with black opaque tights and boots for a day shopping out in Cardiff or sheer tights and heels for a meal out at our favourite restaurant with my husband.





Do you know the best part of this too? The dress is only £20. I really have to admit I adore this dress and look forward to wearing it a lot this Spring. House Of Fraser is known for quality items and often quality is associated with expensive, but as you can see quality doesn't always mean expensive either.
