The Best Ways To Explore Dubai In Style

Dubai is fast becoming one of the most popular touriscities in the world, attracting over 14 million visitors in 2015 alone. Many of these visitors opt for the traditional taxi tour when they arrive, but there are many more inspiring ways to explore all that Dubai has to offer. We’ve discovered some of the best ways to explore Dubai in style - from exciting sand dune adventures to unique city tours with unbeatable views.

Brilliant Bike Rides

Just a short distance from the sands, the centre of Dubai is a hub of culture and development. It’s easy to get around using the bus or train lines, but there’s nothing like a personal bike tour to help you get to know the city. Dubai has recently created a number of new rental bike schemes that make the process simple. Just locate your nearest rental station and hire a bike for a day of easy exploration around some of the city’s more overlooked areas. A rising number of cafes and restaurants are the perfect way to take a break during your tour, and an ideal opportunity to explore some of Dubai's beautiful backstreets. Of course, using your bicycle is also a wonderful way to enjoy some of the city’s more famous attractions, including beautiful Dubai Marina and the impressive Burj Khalifa.

Unique Helicopter Experiences

From blue sands and palm trees to the best in modern architecture, there’s so much to see in Dubai - and there’s no better way to take in the view than from a private helicopter tour. Easily tailored to your dream itinerary, an exclusive helicopter tour around Dubai allows you to get the best possible view of some of the world’s best-known attractions. Whether you want a sky-high view of the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa, or a chance to enjoy an aerial view of the beautiful Jumeirah coastline, a helicopter tour is certainly a stylish alternative to traditional travel.

Luxury Cruises

What better way to reach one of the world’s richest countries than by luxury cruise line? As a coastal city, Dubai delivers a stunning view to those arriving via the Persian Gulf, featuring a dramatic skyline framed by bright blue sky and sparkling sea. Although some offer a round trip, many luxury cruises will conclude in Dubai, offering passengers the opportunity to fully explore this vast city. Simply book your hotel stay and move smoothly from luxury cruise liner to luxury hotel, planning your dream holiday itinerary as you do.

Thrilling Horseback Rides

Dubai is renowned for its connection to horses, and for horse racing fans there is plenty to see and do during your stay. However, Dubai also offers an alternative equestrian experience in the form of desert horse riding. An elegant way of enjoying the beautiful sand dunes, many of the horse riding experiences on offer in Dubai allow you to roam freely across the desert. Take in the rare sight of a desert fox, or test your horse’s speed against the crafty gazelle. Some horse-riding tours also include beautiful moonlit dinners on the sands, allowing you to experience the desert in a whole new way.

Exhilarating 4x4 Adventures

The only other way to truly experience the excitement of Dubai’s sand dunes, a 4x4 dune-bashing experience is not for the faint-hearted. This rollercoaster ride through the Dubai sands delivers a unique perspective of what appears to be a gentle landscape. If you want to make a little more of your trip, many tours will provide a full 4x4 adventure including dune bashing, camel rides, desert dinner and even the chance to enjoy some sunset photography. However, if you’re just hoping to take in some desert views, a morning 4x4 safari offers a more relaxed journey through the dunes.

    1. I've taken a helicopter over the Grand Canyon and it was amazing. Dubai has some fabulous buildings in contrast to the nearby desert so I can imagine a helicopter ride would be a great way to see the contrasts of the landscape.
