Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Mother's Day is not far away, and I have been sent some great gift ideas for that special day.

Giordani Gold Voluptuous Lipstick by Oriflame.

For the mum who loves a bit of glamour in her life.

The lipstick from Oriflame went on like a dream. It has a silky smooth application and felt very moisturising. It has a hint of a shine and stays on well. The 8 hour moisturising complex kept my lips soft all day too. Oriflame also do a Giordani lip gloss if you want a lighter coverage. I have tried other Oriflame products and to be honest I have been really pleased with them. Oriflame are a Swedish company that sell through consultants and online, if you have not heard of them.

What I also like about it, is that is has a very glamorous transparent case, which shows the lipstick colour and the gold tube and looks great in my handbag :)

Available from Oriflame consultants and online priced at £13.95.

Ginvera Gift Set Or Ginvera Green Tea Nude Cover BB Cream

For the mum who loves her makeup.

This best selling brand in Singapore is new to the UK. This BB cream (BB stands for Blemish Balm or Beauty Balm) has a SPF of 30 and works by evening out skin tone as well as nourishing and protecting.

I applied this under makeup and noticed a lovely glow on my skin, and redness and imperfections seemed to almost disappear. It can also be used on top on makeup, and gives an illuminating iridescence to the skin, perfect for areas of shadow, like the under eye area. If you like the "no makeup look" you can even wear it on it's own. One of the best things about this BB cream is that it doesn't settle in your lines - something important to consider when you get older!

The Mother's Day gift set has day and night cream, a candle and cotton bag as well as the lovely BB cream.

Available from Janiro and Harvey Nichols as well as other good stockists.

Yurbuds Sport Earphones

For the mum who loves music and exercise.

Recently I have been trying to build up my walking and jogging to an hour a day in an attempt to get fitter and lose some weight. I love to listen to my headphones when I do, as it's great for motivation. There is nothing worse than walking or jogging and finding your earplugs getting detached. Yurbuds are headphones that are designed especially for women to fit smaller ears. The sport headphones are sweat and water resistant. What I liked about them, was that they have silicone earpieces so I never have to worry about losing the foam buds that you get on some headphones.

The sports headphones also have a very clever twist and lock mechanism, which they say never fall out. How cool is that! I have tested it jogging short distances and walking and they certainly stayed put.

Yurbuds are available online. Sports earbuds are priced at £24.95.

Victoria Green Beauty Bag

For the mum who loves to travel

I have been looking for a great beauty bag to cart around my cosmetics and toiletries on holidays. Victoria Green a British and textile designer has some very pretty bags in her new collection for Debenhams.

My personal favourite from the flower, spot and bird print designs is the swallow design vanity case, as it's a very useful size. You can get makeup, and other toiletries in here like makeup remover wipes, toner and cotton wool. I don't know about you but I manage to get my makeup everywhere, so the wipe clean coating is very practical too. The swallow print is so cute as well.

These designs are available from Debenhams from a very reasonable £6 for a cosmetic bag.

So these are some gift ideas for your mum on Mother's Day. Other ideas I love to give and receive, include flowers and chocolates, and I love little handbag mirrors too.

What presents do you like giving or receiving on Mother's Day?
